The FFE is targeting adult riders with its new strategy

Par Anastasia ·

The French Equestrian Federation is launching an initiative to develop equestrian practice among adults, a strategic audience for the future of clubs.

The French Equestrian Federation (FFE) organized its first "Horse Day" on June 8th at the Nantes National Stud Farm, aimed at structuring equestrian opportunities for adults. This pilot event brought together around thirty leaders and instructors from the Pays de la Loire region, in partnership with the local regional committee.

The event aimed to strengthen the managerial and teaching skills of professionals, improve their profitability, and adapt their structures to new market expectations. Participants analyzed data from the "French People and Horse Riding" survey conducted by Kantar in 2025 before taking part in several practical workshops.

According to the French Equestrian Federation (FFE), the adult market represents the main growth driver for riding clubs. "Faced with the intense pace of our society, horseback riding offers unique advantages: a need for nature, and physical and mental well-being," the federation emphasizes. This segment, encompassing both beginners and nostalgic riders, demands flexibility and immediate access to services.

This initiative, which is set to be rolled out across all regions, marks the beginning of a genuine adult development strategy for the French equestrian sector.
