The owners of Diego de Blondel wish to correct the rumors circulating since the announcement of the stallion's arrival at Ramatou Ouedraogo's stables. There was never any question of selling this son of Vigo d'Arsouilles, affirms Élodie Legout, co-owner with her husband Stéphane Dufour.
At thirteen years old, Diego remains a beloved horse for his owners, who have received offers over the years but have never accepted them. "We have experienced so much with him," emphasizes Élodie Legout, mentioning his exploits at the CSI 5* in Bordeaux and the CSIO 3* in Drammen, as well as his participation in the French Pro Elite Championship in Fontainebleau.
This change addresses a specific need: to allow the horse to continue his development in an optimal environment. Previous experience with Nicolas Delmotte showed that Diego required a stable emotional environment. "He's a horse who needs to be close to people," explains his owner.
Ramatou Ouedraogo understood this particularity. The team set up a central stall for him to maintain constant contact with the medical staff, an absolute priority for the stallion's well-being.
