Brazil is preparing its assault for the 2026 World Championships in Aachen. The Brazilian Confederation has officially announced its selection of top-level riders, determined according to rigorous criteria based on international performances and consistency in competition.
Luciana Diniz with Vertigo du Désert, Rodrigo Pessoa ridden by Major Tom and Prins Van't Eigenlo, and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli with Dorette Old and Ilex will be among the Brazilian representatives. Yuri Mansur and Stephan Barcha complete the lineup, with Eduardo Pereira de Menezes and Pedro Muylaert as reserves.
A major addition accompanies this announcement: Franke Sloothaak, international coach and Olympic champion, will take over as technical director of the delegation. The Confederation emphasizes that this appointment "brings extensive experience in high-level competitions" and reflects its ambition to "achieve the best possible results."
Pedro Paulo Lacerda will assume the role of team manager. This strategy clearly demonstrates Brazil's ambition to be among the major forces in world show jumping.
