The Dutch Equestrian Federation has officially announced its dressage selection for the World Championships in Aachen, scheduled for August 2026. Selector Patrick van der Meer has chosen four riders and one reserve pair to represent the Netherlands.
Marieke van der Putten and Zantana RS2 embody Dutch ambitions. Van der Meer makes no secret of his enthusiasm: "This horse seems to have no limits. They belong to the world elite," affirms the selector, who is at his third championship.
Dinja van Liere rides Mauro Turfhorst, half-brother of Zantana RS2, while Thamar Zweistra rides Hexagons Mr Magnum. Rowena Weggelaar, still in the U25 category, completes the quartet with Don Quichot, buoyed by her recent performances in Rotterdam (75.475% in the Grand Prix Libre).
Lynne Maas and Electra are the reserve pair. Spare horses have also been designated for van der Putten and Zweistra, giving the Dutch delegation quality depth to face the world competition.
