Molly Malone V, former partner of Irishman Bertram Allen, is enjoying a happy retirement in the pasture. Aloga Stables recently shared photos of the 22-year-old mare looking after the young horses at their facility in Ireland.
After four years of outstanding performances between 2013 and 2016, Kannan's daughter hung up her competition boots at the end of 2019. During this successful period, she distinguished herself on numerous occasions at the highest international levels alongside her rider. The pair notably won the Grand Prix events at the CSIOs of Lummen and Dublin in 2014, the World Cup Grand Prix of Verona, and triumphed at the Rolex Grand Prix of Dinard in 2015.
Their achievements also include a silver medal at the European Junior Championships in Vejer de la Frontera and a seventh-place finish at the World Championships in Caen, where they triumphed in the Hunter category. In the spring of 2015, Molly Malone V secured third place in the World Cup Final in Las Vegas.
Now, the mare adds another string to her bow as a broodmare and mentor to the horses of tomorrow, within Aloga Stables run by Bertram and Harry Allen in partnership with Maxi Lill.
