The Amateur Gold Tour FFE/Vicomte A. circuit delivered its verdicts this weekend with two simultaneous stages held on the Opal Coast and in Burgundy. Two significant victories that illustrate the dynamism of French show jumping.
In Hardelot, Aurélie Bara achieved her crowning glory in the 1.25m Amateur Grand Prix. Riding Inoui de Margotte, the rider from northern France dominated a competition of 28 horse and rider combinations, achieving a double clear round in 43.73 seconds. This victory erases her fourth-place finish from the previous year. Manon Defontaine and Ilane de Gruse completed the podium ahead of Carla Arcq.
In Cluny, Victoire Desmoules stole the show. The young rider won the Amateur Grand Prix at 1.25m, riding Caligula Dimavi for the first time in competition. Her jump-off time of 37.17 seconds allowed her to finish ahead of Louna Bensaad and Agathe Coste.
Moved by this unexpected result, Victoire Desmoules expressed her gratitude: "I am so proud of this exceptional horse who gave us a weekend full of emotions."
The circuit is now on pause, with the Fontainebleau and Vichy stages being postponed due to the extreme heat.
