Roberto Teran Tafur achieved his best performance of the season by winning the CSI 4* in Williamsburg, USA. The Colombian rider and his mount Dez' Ooktoff dominated the day's feature 1.50m class, a Longines World Ranking event.
Facing twenty-eight competitors, the duo delivered a flawless jump-off round in 37.53 seconds, ahead of two other pairs. Luxembourg's Charlotte Bettendorf finished second in 38.12 seconds aboard Kalliope, while Ireland's Shane Sweetnam completed the podium in 38.88 seconds with Pegina van den Bisschop.
This victory marks the pair's third international success in a placing competition. Teran Tafur and the KWPN gelding Dez' Ooktoff had already triumphed twice in 2022, at heights of 1.45m and 1.50m. The two partners boast an impressive track record, having competed in the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games and the 2022 World Championships in Herning.
The Colombian rider continued his winning streak in Williamsburg, having won two other 1.45m classes earlier this month. No French riders participated in this competition.
