Jordan Coyle secured a fine victory at the CSI 3* in Lake Placid, USA. The Irish rider triumphed in the 1.55m Grand Prix, a benchmark event in the Longines world rankings, with a time of 41.23 seconds aboard d'Ariso, a horse by Casall ASK.
A highly selective competition, as only five of the thirty-one starting pairs managed the feat of a double clear round. McLain Ward, representing the United States, completed the podium in second place with First Lady in 41.80 seconds. Belgian rider Pieter de Brabandere rounded out the top three with Dothraki Warlord, clocking in at 42.15 seconds.
This leg of the international circuit confirms the dominance of North American and European show jumpers at the highest levels of competition. No French riders were entered in this prestigious event, which remains one of the major highlights of the American equestrian season.
