Hannes Ahlmann achieved a prestigious victory this Saturday in Wuustwezel, winning the 3* Grand Prix of the Flemish region. Riding Madness, a KWPN stallion by Kannan, the German rider mastered a demanding 1.55m course to finish ahead of local favorite Gilles Thomas.
Of the fifty-one entries, only seven pairs completed the initial round without fault. The victory came down to speed: Ahlmann and his mount clocked a time of 37.03 seconds, edging out Thomas and Happy Landais by just four-tenths of a second. The Belgian rider's nine-year-old stallion, by the cross Andiamo Semilly x Helios de La Cour, proved competitive but couldn't clinch the win on home soil.
Pius Schwizer completed the podium with Jason R (KWPN), posting the fastest time among the triple clear rounds. This victory confirms Hannes Ahlmann's excellent form on the international circuit.
