Jolène is starting a new chapter in her career. The mare, who will be riding alongside Alexandre Ayache at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, is making her first appearances under the saddle of Jazi French, a twenty-year-old Australian rider making a comeback to international competition.
Trained by the renowned couple Jessica and Benjamin Werndl, the young woman is making her grand return to dressage after a five-year absence. Inspired by her family's equestrian heritage—her mother Nancy having represented Australia at the World Championships in Rome in 1998—Jazi French has been gradually returning to competition since the beginning of the year on Syriana, a former mare of Australian rider Mary Hanna.
The partnership with the daughter of Glock's Johnson TN is proving promising. In the first three U25 competitions held in Lipica, Brno, and Verolanuova, the duo won every start with impressive scores ranging from 65.471% to 66.795%. In Verolanuova, their most recent performances showed scores of 67.549% and 66.025%, confirming the positive momentum for this new partnership in top-level dressage.
