Arthur Duffort comfortably established himself in the lead after the first day of the CCIO 4*-NC-S in Strzegom, Poland, on Friday. The French rider delivered a beautiful dressage test aboard Gueule de Rêve, scoring 33.3 points to top the provisional individual standings.
The Frenchman narrowly edged out Poland's Pawel Warszawski (33.4 points) and Australia's Isabel English (33.6 points). Three other French representatives completed the top 10, confirming the strength of the French delegation: Bérengère Itier finished seventh with 37 points on Chactas Chalonges, while Verane Nicaud took eighth place on Eau Vive de Brenne (37.3 points). Lucas Brun and Baptiste Salaun also featured in the top rankings.
In the team standings, France dominated with a total of 110.2 points, far ahead of Austria (112.6 points) and Poland (113.5 points). Only three nations competing in this Nations Cup will participate in the obstacle and cross-country events taking place in the following days.
